"GATHERING STORM" Cleburne and Forrest...
“Patrick R. Cleburne deserves a prominent place among the great heroes who have illustrated Southern Heroism and Southern history. His name brings a thrill of heart to every true son of the South, just as his presence brought success wherever he moved on the field of battle. “Cleburne is here!” meant that “all is well.” General D.H. Hill 1867"
When asked during his brief tenure at Washington College which Civil War general showed the greatest capacity for military genius during the recently concluded War Between the States, Lee lost no time in naming General Nathan Bedford Forrest as the commander who best fit that description... "who with the least means accomplished more than any other genreal."
Where are the leaders like this today!
